The new issue of Milieu Magazine is now available at newsstands and online, digitally. This issue is a celebration of their First Anniversary! Hard to believe, it’s already been a year since the magazine launched.
As usual, Milieu is full of eye candy. The cover alone is so gorgeous – it’s perfection. I especially love the white roses in a contemporary glass vase set on a classic silver tray! So simple, yet so beautiful. Usually the Southern Look is roses in a confit pot, but here the crystal looks so fresh --- love it and want to copy this,’ asap!
And as usual, there is a distinct flow to the magazine. This issue it is the color indigo - that dark, inky blue – which is hinted at in advertisements and in stories. Further, the colors cream and ivory provide a restful pause against all the indigo on the pages.
The advertisers get on board – here Carol Piper shows off a dark blue rug against the white walls of a beautiful manse. Can you guess whose house it is?
This story, that showcases different fabrics in the indigo colorway, was staged at the owner of Chateau Domingue’s house. It’s a fun glimpse at her bedroom – which looks more like a room in a farmhouse in Provence with all of Chateau Domingue’s architectural elements in place. The stone ceiling is just stunning.
There is this story about a blue and white tiled room in Juan Pablo Molyneux’s Paris mansion.
Lots of cream and white and ivory act as a foil against the dark indigo that runs throughout the issue. This is a beautiful house.
But, my favorite story is this one. It’s a house decorated by popular blogger The Visual Vamp aka Valorie Hart. What a fabulous honor for her design work to be included in Milieu! Congrats Valorie!!!
